International School of Creative Science popularity grows with parents in Dubai

International School of Creative Science (ISCS) held its first School Open Day at its Nad Al Sheba campus in Dubai on Saturday. The event proved very popular with parents who visited the state-of-the-art school during the day. Parents were impressed with the facilities available in the school and the overall academic program, culture and ethos.

ISCS Nad Al Sheba is the first school of its kind to open in Dubai which aims to bring a strong dual-Curriculum programme based on the UK National curriculum and the UAE Curriculum. It builds on a decade and half long legacy of successfully implementing similar programmes at the ISCS flagship campus in Sharjah. The programme is delivered in a way which gives students a strong sense of Islamic identity whilst helping them in their journey of becoming well-rounded learners. “We want our students be more than just about attainment and achievement, we want to help them develop holistically, whether spiritually, emotionally, socially and academically, since all of these are hallmarks of a well-rounded learner and this is what we aim to provide at our Schools” said the CEO, Sheikh Salah Bukhatir during his remarks at the open day.

ISCS recognised that an open day can be an emotional experience. "A parent will get an initial feeling when they walk into a school, and that often dictates which school they choose for their child," says Naveed Iqbal, the Principal of ISCS Nad Al Sheba. "Parents can look online and study a school's brochure sent to them, but no matter how good those resources are, you can't experience the atmosphere of the school remotely; you have to come in."This level of attention to the needs of parents and students resonated throughout the day with all visiting parents, who felt part of the school community”, he added.

The open day involved hands-on classes for prospective students whilst parents could chat to senior staff and other parents. There were presentations for all parents, offering an opportunity to get to know more about the school, its vision and ethos, teaching and learning methodologies, as well as an opportunity to interact with the teachers, senior leadership as well as management of the school.

Many parents showed an interest they await opening of ISCS campus that resonates with their own similar belief providing their children with a holistic education. ISCS Nad Al Sheba is currently enrolling for the upcoming term when it will receive its first batch of students on the 28th August. The school leadership is looking forward to providing educational excellence to students and serving the local community.
