A look at the admission process at American School of Creative Science – Maliha Road

What does it take to study at one of the best American schools in Sharjah?

Are you looking for a school where your child can excel in academics whilst learning strong moral values? Are you searching through the American curriculum schools in Sharjah, wondering which would be the best fit for your family? Do you want to make sure your child received a high-quality education in an environment that nurtures, cultivates, and promotes creative and critical thinking skills?

At American School of Creative Science – Maliha Road, we foster imagination and innovation in our students so that they are prepared to be the leaders of the future. As one of the best American schools in Sharjah, we’ve created an admission process that is streamlined and accessible but which also ensures we are the right option for your child.

Like most American curriculum schools in Sharjah, class placement is allotted on a “first come, first serve” basis to maintain an orderly process. For new admissions, you will need to complete and submit our online application form or pick up a hardcopy from our registration department. You are also required to provide the following documents:

A copy of your child’s passport

A copy of each parent’s passport

A copy of each parent’s Emirates ID

Your child’s most recent school report or “To Whom It May Concern” letter from your child’s current school (if applicable)

After we receive and review the application information, we will invite your child for the entrance exam and interview. Parents are asked to accompany KG1 and KG2 children for an informal interview at the school. Potential students from Grade 1 to Grade 12 will complete a computerized exam as well as an interview. Students seeking admission to the American School of Creative Science High School have additional application requirements that are detailed in our High School Admission Policy, available at our registration office.

Our entrance exams are designed to test cognitive ability in an age-appropriate manner. This information assists us with granting our limited spaces to students who demonstrate that they could thrive in our school’s environment. Because we are a community of active learners, our interview process helps us, and you, decide whether our structure meets your child’s needs.

If your application is successful, we will promptly notify you by phone or email and invite you to complete the UAE Ministry of Education’s registration process. To do so, you must submit the following documents no later than one week after receiving your offer of placement.

A copy of each parent’s residence visa (for non-UAE nationals)

A copy of your Family Register (for UAE nationals)
