Year-of-Zayed

Year of Zayed

You probably already know that 2018 has officially been named the “Year of Zayed” in the UAE. The year marks the 100th anniversary of His Highness Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s birth. As the founding father of the modern UAE, his values and achievements have been highlighted during the year with government initiatives as well as individual citizen participation. His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, said in a statement that the year would be about celebrating the common identity that Late Sheikh Zayed gave to all Emiratis. He also asked the Emirati people to remember the core values that the founding father exemplified – wisdom, respect, loyalty, sacrifice, and determination.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has emphasized the strong will and incredible foresight of the celebrated leader. He cited a government program called “UAE Centennial 2071,” which aims to boost the country’s reputation and economy, as well as ensure there are sustainable paths to future revenue streams. One key objective is the further enrichment of the country’s education system. The most fundamental aspect, of course, of any of the initiatives is to instill the values of Late Sheikh Zayed in the younger generations and to create an atmosphere of community and togetherness.

Students of UAE secondary schools can no doubt benefit from learning about the values and achievements of Late Sheikh Zayed. Beam manages numerous schools in the region where students of many nationalities, religions, cultures and lifestyles all find a sense of belonging under one roof. Late Sheikh Zayed’s message of tolerance and peace is one echoed in the classroom of every one of our schools. Students are taught to be ethically and morally conscious human beings, as well as to be aware of their actions and how they can affect their family, friends, and community.

UAE secondary schools focus on students’ academic successes. At the Creative Science Schools, we provide students with a high quality education while also believing in the total child concept. That means our students graduate as active, conscientious, well-rounded people who are capable of surmounting any obstacle they encounter. Aside from being forward-thinking and innovative, they are also compassionate human beings with a deep desire to achieve great things. These students honor the legacy of the founding father every day with their optimism, their love of learning, and their friendships with each other.
